Man I was going to ask you the same thing. I've entered in a $20mil lottery draw this week so if all goes well I might buy you an farm or two Gerbs.

what's bad is that I don't gamble - outside of the stock market - and I'm honestly looking at starting to play the lottery.

lost way too much money this year. argh. and heck... I've found grey hairs!! Working too hard will kill you. I'll swear by it.

well, dang. I did not know Oprah bought some land too. crazy...

Haha, this year was my grey hair year too
I only gamble with the lottery, and only when there's a large amount there to win. A group of 4 or 5 of us enter and split the winnings (if any).

A relative in law (or something) was an investment banker for his career. made millions. Now hangs out in vegas. Can't stop gambling. (he has the cash to). He said its not quite as stressfull as playing the market.

Gerbik: MACR is up 3 cents right now. But, I think it was down 19c yesterday . I don't know, I might invest in them when I get some money, we see.

the best gambling deal i found was playing the chicken at tic tac toe at the tropicana in atlantic city.
you can only play him once a day, but it's free.
of course, the chicken gets to go first, and for anyone who's ever sat down to calculate all the variations of a tic tac toe game knows that it's impossible to win by going second. i'm not even sure the chicken actually 'plays', probably just a computer that 'makes a mistake' every so often when the casino wants a winner. but hey, its 10 grand if you do win.
ok, so maybe its not such a great gambling deal, but this is the first post i found where i can talk about a tic tac toe playing chicken

they've been erratic lately. High as 22.80, and now, 19.80. I'm still clearing over 2.90 a stock; however I would rather they hit their target of 24.00.

oh well... I'm nowhere near the money I need for the land

thanks lannie for the nickel. I'm that much closer now

I'll give you a penny which could become millions, with time in the bank

Yea, even in a CD (if you could find a bank to put a penny in a CD) Inflation would be greater than your interest.

Gerbick: Did you give up on the Island we were going to buy?
