    Wink

    Enlightened MAC users!

Won't you please check my test URL to see if the looping soundtrack starts once the 'play' button has been clicked:

    http://www.krislynedesign.com/test27/

The soundtrack works fine on my and various other test PCs, but not on any MACs (i've tested on two, plugin version unknown) - the problem is my client is on a MAC and she thinks the whole site is screwy! i would really rather not have to write a bunch of detection code as this has now become pro bono work.

Please help. I would appreciate any other comments/critiques that you'd care to share.

i LOVE this board. Happy Flashing!

Nice work (found the rollover sound a little loud though ...) Anyway, I think I found your bug - you need a preloader. If you click the play button quickly after the page loads there's no sound. If you wait a second or two and then click the play button the sound is fine. I got the same results with IE 5 and netscape 4.75.

    Hope this helps...

    hm,hm,hm...

in netscape 4.78 i see a file loading with 278kb. is this the soundfile?
when i wait till it is completely loaded clicking on play starts the sound, if i dont wait, sound does not start.
you should make a preloader for the soundclip and show the play button after the whole clip is loaded.

in ie5.1 the strange thing is that the soundclip doesn't seem to load correct, sometimes hitting "refresh" works and the sound starts playing, sometimes not.

btw, 300k for a background sound is a lot, try compressing it more.

krispian, I don't know if there's a problem with me but I'm getting this Jazzy sound out of my speakers ;-)

    Love the site!

    Ciao

PS do you do the sound score yourself or do you get it from the web?

Is the file and mp3 or a wav?
If you use mp3, it will stream, so should start playing straight off...
