"sizzle-distortion" on sound - help

i am creating a standalone projector on cd and sometimes the projector created will have this odd "sizzle-distortion" when the sound file starts.. i have run several tests.. (i am a mac guy) and it seems to do with the quality of the sound i choose - ie. when i choose the highest possible sound quality during publishing is when it most likely appears - not always - but i get the projector to export fine and plays fine on my macG4 dual 450's and my Powerbook667mhz .. os9.2 .. but most of the windows machines just sizzle away!! any insights? .. should i just continue widdling away at sound quality until it works?

figuring that it was just plain "overdone" with sound files .. (3 stereo loops longer than 15sec each) i simply created an external .swf with those sound files in it - then loaded that swf into the projector file.. works fine!
