    Hey All!

    http://www.rockstar-design.com/preview/

This will be version 2.0 of our site. my second flash site ever. This is built in Flash MX with dynamic content. Me and my programmer have also built html administration forms so we can reorganize all the graphical elements and type elements through an html interface without having to monkey around in the Flash authoring envirtonment. I think this approach is going to revolutionisze web design! It really allows for EXTREMELY fast redesign of the site.

Contact Rockstar doesn't work yet, neither do any of the portfolios.

56ker's: you should hit the stop button on the radio, as th mp3's have not been downsampled yet....your modem will choke on them!

anyway, rip it apart...now is the time to tell me what's whrong with it, before i post it on our regular URL.

    Thanks.

    Rob

needs a preloader and the interface is kinda confusing... and also the porfolio page/box thing is just ugly.

    Hey,
When I think of the name "Rockstar-Design", I'm thinking the site will be dark, alittle grungy, but professional. Yet while your site is a bit professional, it has the oppoisite color scheme of what i was thinking... pinks and purples; practically an Easter site. But it's not bad.

rockstar fits the site perfectly..like a bad 80's hair band..cheap imitation of something beyond it's reach..

you are kidding with this name and fruity design aren't you?..

    has to be a joke..

    Yeah, definitely tongue in cheek.

the colors are going to be changing...part of the challenge of loading mc's dynamically is getting colors to match nicely in the end. I'm working with my programmer to get the colors set with global volor variables as they come in.

what kind of color scheme would you like to see?

sorry i'm not too knowledgeable about the backend stuff...i thought that most of the dynamic text and movie stuff was new with Flash MX...anyway, you've been loading content dynamically about 4 times as long as I've been using Flash!

if your selling to rockers then keep your site, if your selling to business owners who could care less of your favorite music, change the schema, two or three colors tops, with some well thought out graphical design and elements..people buy professionalism not "cinderella"..

    have fun dude..you'll be fine..

I was planning to finish this site because it is fun, then use it as a basic template with toned down colors for a more businesslike sounding sounding name (i'd name it but i haven't purchased the domain yet ). I already have a very nice, understated graphical look for the other business, but i wanted to use the elements of this site for that one.

i guess my question is, aside from the Rockstar-Design silliness, what do you think of the underlying application that displays the content and what-not?

P.S. to the guy who thought i should have a darker, grungyer site, take a look at the current http://www.rockstar-desgn.com that is not dynamic and the sound is embedded (i know, i know....bad flash) but it is dark and moody and stuff.

I am planning to sell some rocker-type services....i have a connection to a local sex/porn/bondage store that has a booming internet business site with very poor design and implementation, not to mention terrible administration tools, so they hardly ever update their products. anyway-those people are ROCKERS! (free lap dances and other things from the in-store strippers everynight, piles of cocaine...you know) so this site may impress them...
