    Hi Guys!

i have a strange problem here which drives me absolutely nuts and stalls all my work progress at the moment...

in my movie the Scrollbar component just won't react to the according textbox. it just stays there where i put it, doesn't dock in or actually scroll text.

it works fine everwhere else, just NOT in this particular movie!

i've tried everything and am getting quite desperate. did anyone encouter similar problems before? what could be the reason for this strange behaviour?

i would be glad for any kind of help! if you want so check it out, you can find my movie here:

Firstly, I think you have to set your textbox to Multiline. Then when tested it with overflowing text it worked fine,

THANKS chi! =) ----- but hmm,

still no success at all. i begin to wonder if it has to do something with flash itself, some settings for that movie which prevent the components from docking?

    could that be possible??

check it out again, i set it up properly now, with overflow text and multiline of course.

on MY comp it just doesn't work!!! i begin to doubt my mental capacities...

is there some hidden cam or sumthin'?

i wonder how it just worked fine for you... (as it should, of course) and on my comp there's nothing?

could you maybe upload it somewhere for me to have a look?

by not "docking" i mean the scrollbar doesn't fit it's size or position to the textbox.

i never had this problem before and it's only happening in THIS particular movie...

    very strange

    me too :(

    /*

Same thing happening to me... If i create a new .fla, draw any dyn. or input txtbox and drag the scrollBar component over it, the bar attaches to the txtbox, resizes itself for perfect fiting on the txtbox and scroll the txt with no further problems.

But, in my .fla, no matter how many times i try it, the scrollbar does not attaches itself to the txtbox, and of course, dont scroll the txt :\

I really have no idea what is going on here :\

Oh, I see. Think I have the solution though Make sure on the options section in the Tools panel that you have the magnet(Snap to Objects) selected,
