shopping cart

i posted this in the backend forum, but i think maybe ti will get more exposure here...

i have had more help form the fk members than anywhere else, i figure the community has probably seen it all. soooo- i am not a backend guy. i need to get some shopping cart software that will allow flexibility with design. real time credit card transactions would be nice. ease of use would be nice too. any suggestions? also, any programs you have heard negative results or had bad experiences with?
