    HELP!

    Having created presentation which uses LoadMovie action to load a series of small SWFs from buttons - runs fine on MAc, but won't run on PCs - ouch.

    Does the LoadMovie not work on PC's - they're all in the same folder....should I do some Root_ type thing....?

    All help appreciated

    loadMovie should work without any problems on PC's

    if all your swf files are in the same folder as the movie that loads them, you could use this.

    first create a blank movie clip to load the movies into, give this the instance name holder and place it on the main timeline.

    now use

    loadMovie("moviename.swf",_root.holder);

    to load moviename.swf into the clip holder.

    Thanks for help man, but it's still not playing.

    1. Doing it all on a mac.

    2. All .swfs are in same folder, then burnt onto CD before putting on PC laptop.

    3. I've tried running it through Flas, but they aren't recognised unless a projector.

    4. In a browser, the first .swf loads then others will not (or cannot)

    5. I'm loading them into level 10, from buttons in the first .swf.

    6. I'm about to take a hammer to it!

    7. Does the folder name matter - when I did a 30 site on web using this loadMovie into levelX - it hosted and played no drama - even when viewed on PC.

    Maybe ask someone on the Mac forum, I guess they're the people most likely to have come across this before, good luck
