Plugin-detection without Javascript

hi,
does anybody has experienceswith checking the FLASH plugin without using Javascript.
I've read it on: http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl..._detection.htm

I've checked this possibility. It works proper on IE5,Netscape 4.7 and even Opera. Does anybody has experiences with other Browsers??
What's ur opinion??

well i didnt really understnad what you said but..
you can make a detection thing by putting an invisible button on the page, and if they have flash the button would make them gotto a different page, and if they dont they'd stay on the page.. alrite then..goodluck
