    the new quicktime 6 specifies it should be possible to
    load flash5 files (it doesnt support 6 at all). i would like to know if it is feasible to play flash5 files containing xml actionscripts in quicktime, ie. to load and control the flash file directly via xml while running in another application that uses quicktime.

    any tips would be appreciated, as i cant locate anything substantially positive.

    I read an article by one of the developers of Quicktime 6 in MacTech (he has a Quicktime column each month going into the depths & I mean depths of Quicktime) and he stated that with Flash 5 integration the reading of XML files etc was supported.

    The ability to integrate Flash 5 and QuickTime 6 is very powerfull. You can build complete user interfaces etc around your quicktime movie + you can also skin the player, so you could make it look like a pretty complete app!
