shockwave is from director, it's far more powerful, but with that comes software that costs three times that of flash, a plugin that is 3 times or so bigger and a install base that is far less than flash.

    you're the ultimate insomniac nevil!

i think shockwave has a user base of 35%, according to maromedia, who also say that the flash player has a 98% user base.

you should go and live in brighton, that's the best town for all nighters.

DC is the best night life. It doesn't technically have a night life, nothing is really open, but it's great if you don't sleep. Me and my friends go out and see the hookers down town... You can hit up steak and eggs, which has 1 or 2 people during the day, and is Jam Packed (15-25 people along one little counter) from 11 at night till 5 in the morning. There is so much crazy stuff to do at night here. Oh and by the way this guy is f---ing amazing, he def. knows is stuff.

toronto, didn't i mention that in the email?

i used to live in brighton, went to sussex uni and stayed on there using brighton as a base. It's a great town, loved every minute of it, though i'm not into the club music there were plenty of live bands playing.

it's probably the biggest town for web/new media companies outside of london and there's nothing like taking a walk along the seafront at 6am on a summer morning after staying up all night.

if you work for yourself it's a lot easier to figure out what's best for you, sometimes work comes best at 4am...

g/f used to get a bit annoyed though.
