effects for rectangle

I don't know how to call this effect...

My guess? Frame by frame animation!

Thats a neat effect, while there are many ways to create this I tried my hand at it using a shape tween to accomplish the effect.

Create a rectangle with your color, and make sure to include lines (but color them the same as your background color to make them invisible). When you get to the end of the tween, use the arrow tool to bow out the sides and then bow them back in.

The same with the second step of the animation, but this time bow in the sides before blowing up the rectangle to full screen.

Hint: If you use this technique, I would suggest you start with the full sized rectangle and work backwards, save you the headache of shifting the tweens around to make sure the rectangle fills the screen correctly!
