    does anyone know of a good tutorial, or infact how to bend the sides of a button. When I put a tween effect on the button it sets the button as a symbol and I can't edit the button without going into the symbol. This is not want I want. I want the button to look like the the top and bottom are bending inwards.

    Suggestions?

    Try This: MovieClip / PsuedoButton

    Put a simple button on stage first...lay Mclip on top to cover it up.
    (sepparate layers if you want easy acsess to edit each, lock and blind the one you don't want to touch b4 selecting)...

    create circle or whtever shape works, convert to button, add large enough hit state to match size of Mclip (use info-panel to match image sizes)

    create MC to do as you like (Animate to look/act like the button you want)

    put mouse-over/off/press instructions on button with a "yourClip.gotoAndPlay() / / .Stop()".

    Button should respond all-tho hidden from site.

    goodLuck

    Not sure if i understand 100%, but try making a movie clip of your whay you want your OVER stage to look like, then instead of having an image on your OVER stage, drag the movie clip in. Works great!!!

    cheers,
