I want to create a HTML page which has an MX movie embedded into it. Also on the page there will be several links
I want to use those links to move to a label on the timeline, or something similar....
So:
1) user clicks a link in the HTML page
2) the value of that link is passed to the Flash movie (??)
3) this value then points to a labelled point within the movie and the movie advances to that point.
(I hope I'm making sense.........)
Is this possible? and if so, is there a tutorial or an explanation on how to do this?
Thanks in advance...

Something along the lines...

Have a look at the page source (html).
I haven't tested it, but you could probably do something similar with...

thats great - I think the first one will do the trick at least I hope so as I'm firing links from a DHTML navbar.

The same in the opposite direction???
Hi.
If I understood this right, I can control a Flash-Movie with JavaScript-Links in another HTML-Frame and I don't have to reload the movie for each link. Is this right? I think so.
Now I would need exactly this in the opposite direction. That the movie gives a JavaScript-Feedback to this other HTML-Frame. It should call some function there. Is this possible?
