    Sorry for the obnoxious subject line, but I have 20 minutes to fix this problem. Here it is:

    I need a movie clip to go to a specific frame after 27.5 seconds from the beginning of the movie, assuming it has never been there before. Here is my code (placed on an empty movie clip on a keyframe with a stop action):

    onClipEvent (load) {
    while(true) {
    if (getTimer() > 27500 && !(_global.clipUp)) {
    _root.clipboard.nextFrame();
    _global.clipUp = true;
    }
    }
    }

    The while(true) really screws up the computer, but I don't know how else to continually check the condition so that the action will be performed after a given amount of time. The clipUp variable simply prevents anything from happening and is set by another movie clip.

    Thanks!

    I'm not sure, but if you place a a goToAndPlay(keyframe), 3 frames after your script looping it back, wouldn't the script continue until the condition was met?
