Why isn't Flashkit designed in Flash?

Well!? It seems crazy to me. http://www.ultrashock.com is made in flash and it works a treat.

1) Ultrashock is a much smaller site. I think if you see them putting out the load that FK does, they'll start trimming.
2) For each page I'm able to view on US (and that's not many, because I don't use Windows), I could have downloaded 5 FK pages.
3) It's working fine without it. Just because it's a Flash Dev site, doesn't mean it's best served by using Flash.

If you do a search on the boards, you'll find this conversation pops up atleast once a month, and you'll find a lot more reasons not to use it.

and remember it's only the front page and the menu that's in flash on US, all the content, 99% of the site, is in html.

Ok guys - you have a fair point. But what about just a little tiny bit of flash just to make me happy?

One thing is sure, if you do it in Flash (or more sophisticated dhtml, but maybe bad for all browsers) you can decrease the data transfer pretty much.

But Flash isn't so good to scroll much content I guess.
