Weird characters in dynamic text????

Hello and good evening everybody, I'm new here at the FK forums.

To my question:
Is it possible to load "non-regular" characters from a textfile, such as: ü, ä, ö, and so on. I know you can enable some HTML-tags, and I tried to do a "auml; ö ü" as in usual HTML. But it didn't work. It works fine when I type the characters in a textwindow on stage.But not when I load text from a file.

Does anybody know if there is any way to do this?

Put System.UseCodePage=true; on the first frame of _root or in the movie clip where the dynamic text resides. This has been dicussed several times here so try searching for posts before creating new ones...
