tell me, is this sellable.....
i have an ink jet printer for cd printing. it is very good at photos and images with lots of colors, but poor at single color inks.
does anyone else have experience with these things.
i mean do you use a thermal printer (whats your personal experience using them) or still use a factory for silk screening ??

Modding with Class
At this point, I am still using the factory for silk screening, as the quantity of CDs I have duplicated/replicated is much too large for my single burner (even if I had a 4-burner tower).
However, for demo CDs and very-short-runs I use photo-quality labels. My ink-jet printer handles them very well and the quality is impeccable.

We used to use peel and stick labels for our demos, client deliverables, etc. Now we just get a CD Duplication place here locally to silk screen on BLANK CD-Rs and then we can put whatever we want on them and the presentation, at least on the outside, is nice.
I know this doesn't answer your question but thought I would share.
