    a client of mine is very interested in duplicating the effect on the direct tv website. i'm going insane trying to figure this out b/c i'm new at this... is this even flash? if someone could just give me a nudge i'd be eternally grateful.........

    go grab a flash book, the effect is too easy to describe

    this is really simple...all they did was draw a grid, and have the small pics fade in and out in different parts of the grid...

    if you are having trouble figuring out something a simple as this, you should probably not tell your clients that you know flash, until you become more familar with the program...

    as for the mouse overs, here is the script (although I should probably make you look it up yourself)

    create an invisible button, and place an instance of it on the stage everywhere where you want the event to happen...

    add the following script each button instance...(not the frame)

    on (rollOver) {
    _root.attachMovie("MCname","MCname",1);

    }
    on (rollOut) {
    unloadMovie("MCname");
    }

    that's pretty much it...
