    I can do it with Flash 5 using FScommand "exec". But when I did it using Flash MX, copied the "same" code it did'nt work... is it a bug of MX? Is there any other way to do it? Or am i doing it wrong?

    You have to put the file you want to execute in a subfolder called fscommand.

    See http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...projectors.htm for more info.

    Now, for security, they have to be in a subfolder called 'fscommand' (no ' ' ). Also, now for security, you can only use the fscommand("exec"); in projectors. Before you could also use it in SWF's that were not on the web. But this means they will NOT work in Flash MX's preview window.

    As the guys have said:

    Currently if you need to run external file,
    you have to put the external exe into a subfolder
    named fscommand in the main folder :
    X:\..\Main.exe
    X:\..\fscommand\Sub1.exe
    X:\..\fscommand\Sub2.exe

    then use
    fscommand("exec","Sub1.exe");
    to run the exes.
