    Right,
I've got a few large AVI files that i need to put into a flash movie, would it be best to import them themselves or encode them into MPEG??

And if so, what is the best Free/Shareware avi to mpeg encoder?!

    Cheers!!

If you can afford Sorenson Squeeze, that'll be your best bet.

    Hi.
Why encode the AVIs into Mpeg? Then you're just adding another level of compression. The more times you recompress a movie, the more artifacts you're going to add.

By the way, you may also want to check out our software, Flix.
