Just a teaser I couldn't wait to share this with everyone.... It's not quite ready yet but will be soon if I don't run into any snags....

    http://deadyeti.com/blanius/popupcoder.html

This will generate the javascript for your Page and the link you need to paste into a 3dfa OpenUrl Action to make popup windows a snap....

This is ready to go now! Anyone care to test it?

No help file yet but lets see if we need it. Best thing to do is run in locally form the swf (or do I need to make projector exe file for that?) anyway cut and paste and away you go. Popup windows including placing the window where you want Centered or at a specified point.

Feedback welcomed and encouraged. Ask nice I might give source.

Thats really great, have you done a loading one with the percentage bar because the new animation shop 3.71 won't let you use a loading movie. If you have could you give it to me because i really need my site to show the loading with the percentage.

    Thanks

Ok ok debugged a little more

Ok major changes to this thing. The javascript that goes in your html page is now static... Found it didn't need to change but I had to rewrite it from scratch to do window placement (centering or fixed) now it's all handled in the code you put in the OpenUrl link.

Also should now work with Netscape and EI (tested on ei6 NS6 and NS7) would like to here back from users of other browsers.. This is in regard to the javascript portion.

I hope someone can test this. The help button code was made using this tool.. that was my test. I will work on a help page to explain things better.

Also if you can think of anyother features here let me know.

I might make a HTML link generation as an option, the 3dfa link would not work in HTML page. Not a big change to support this.

This sure beats paying $25 to "code brain" for theirs eh?

    Hi,

    Font question.

I noticed that the "(as needed)"

in your example is a nice crisp font when enlarged.

    1. What font is it?
    2. What process in 3dfa was used to create it?

    Thanks in advance,
    a_non_amous.

    by the way,

    I have a un-finished project
animated walking people created with poser 3

    steps
    1. create walking person in poser.
    2. save as avi file.
    3. open avi in ulead gif animator.
    4. modify backgrounds on each frame to transparent.
    5. save as animated gif.
    6. load into 3dfa.

if you get really keen you can then trace over the
    individual frames with paint elements.

    regards,
    a_non_amous.

That is great! This is exactly the kind of thing that adds to the 3DFA group and makes it that much better. Thanks for putting this out.

Thats terrific work - can't wait to see the finished product.

Sorry we've been quiet for a while - we're working real hard at the moment on v4 - it'll be another quantum leap in animation capability and tools, and with its exporting GIF capability, no-one will need to use ULEAD at all!

good work on the walking animation - looks great. keep it up!

    Regards

    Ya isn't that nice?

It's Formatted text using the HTML code <font -8>As needed</font> tags Works GREAT! This is Ariel font size 10 base .
