    Hi All,

How do we create an effect in a shoot video where one character is in the original colour and the rest of the scene is B&W. Is it possible with some kind of motion tracking thing? How it is done?

    Regards,

Well, nobody has piped-inv - so I'll share what little I know. This is the Flash Video forum after all, many of us are merely concerned with the end product and not the production itself.

First off, it really depends how and what you are shooting. Shooting with a white background or blue screen will give you much more flexibility over this method. You can remove white in QT for example.

If that is not an option, you may take a look at some of the masking options in QuickTime Pro. I was just reading about how you can use one movie over another as a mask, you should be able to adapt this method to your project.

There are more compicated options as well that are more in line with the first method I mentioned - but After Effects could be a good solution for you.

    Good luck...
