Thread: flash 6 "would u like to upgrade" dialogue box

    i'm sure the answer is so obvious, hence my not being able to see it ..

    but .. how may i turn off the users browser asking the user "would they like to upgrade to the f6 player". i have built it in mx, and exported it as an swf5.

    i sorta figure that the only solution would be to save it as a fla5 file, and export it as an swf5 file. i would like to avoid this cos, there are mx things in there which would be inconvenient to lose if it were to use it as a fla5 file.

    am i making sence?

    In your embedding code, you need to get rid of this:

    codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0"

    Change the 6 to 5
