Can anyone point me toward cool intros? I need to turn around a recruitment flash presentation preeety quick and I need some inspiration. It will be text and graphics moving around probably set to music. The whole nine yards. It will be for a college/university crowd and I need something to get the kiddies attention.
    Thanks in advance!

If neither of these get their attention, nothing will!

That's a question of taste dear friends, you don't have to get huge 3D stuff, top scripting and video to make cool intro.
I like the way it is presented and the way it goes with the music.
And also I'm a big fan of allmediastudios work.
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying this is the best intro out there but just one of my favorite.

I liked the ignition intro alot well until it crashed my computer here at work not always a good thing i think, but still it is amazing so i forgive it.
i also liked the allmediastudios intro it was simple but still good and i dont know why some of you seem to have a problem with it.
well only my two cents anyway.

That 8edge.com site has some fricken crazy scripting, wow!

The intro was awesome as well, I love the theme they carried with that red hat and the red color all throughout the site.

    Great Intros Rooney

Thanks Rooney for sharing the great intros.

Does anyone have a suggestion or idea on how the creator put the little robot in fantasyinterfaces? I mean is it just bunch of sequenced gifs or PNGs? I know it was created in 3D Max or some other 3D program but the site loads pretty quickly and I'm thinking that with all the images that need to load, there is sometine else going on. Love to hear your thoughts.

thanks man. I'm sorry my new site isn't launched yet. SUcks when you computer fries and http://www.compgeeks.com functs you over on your product. Excuse? of course

anywho, ya, fantasy interfaces, rendered out undoubtedly a number of compressed .jpgs and set them as mc's with in the timeline.

The only time you really need to use a .png is if you need a transparency of some sorts. Otherwise, the file size is boggy and will slow everything down.

As far I see.. there are three types of intros...

    1. vector
    2. afterfx .jpg/.png images
    3. text.

and 4. "where's the skip intro button"

Sometimes short and sweet are the best kind. The ones that make you go... "ahhhhhhhh. ya... that was cool."

personally, my ams intro was sadly done in one night because I wanted something to show the next day. Music is the crap techno/trance stuff, but it works in its context therefore adding to the mass confusion.

Best intro by far is by Derbauer and I highly respect FI. Those guys are completely unreal!!!
