it's not my traditional drawing style, but then again I'm not trying to use my own style... mimicing Akira Toriyama.

Anywho, tell me what yall think of this trailer I made:

....your name reminds me of an old Go-Gos tune....

On the anime---pretty good stuff! I like the use of shadows and the pacing is much better, quicker. The framing of the characters is more personal in IN-YOUR-FACE!! Loved the reviews, too.

You before and after animations parallel the intrinsic differences between traditional "American" animation and anime:

The first clip uses a lot of static-statue-stiff poses, plain angles, average colors.

The second clip uses weird poses, dynamic angles, quick cuts, and explosive colors. The result causes the blood in your brain to curdle before you can comprehend what is going on---no wonder anime is addictive!!! Basically, to achieve that anime feel, you have to go overboard on your character's posture, the action must be exaggerated to ridiculous levels or nearly so.

You see the same distinction between comic strips and Marvel/DC comics. Static narration vs. dynamic visual sequences.

"Cool Jerk" was one of The Go-Gos early releases, a 1982 remake of the dance hit written and performed by the Classics in 1966.
