    Hi

I just got a job from guru and since I don't know their company the haven't seen their company site, I'm hoping to get some advice for those of you who have experience dealing with this type of freelance work...

How do u make sure you get paid from them? Write a contract? have them pay half out front? all the things you think I should know to protect myself from being scamed basically, please post it here. Thanks a bunch!

    hey,

you'd get the best answers by simply browsing through the boardroom which is more fit for "this" kind of discussion.

If not, do a search on the boardroom only.

but yeah, do write a contract and put everything and everything in there including that you will send them the files/work on CD upon comleted payment etc.. when payment is due and whatnot. Everything you hear?

I havent had any experience with this type of service before, however I should imagine that the company you are going to do work for will have some contract for you. Actually this raises an interesting question, do you work for the company or do you work for guru?
I do some factory work when I`m not a college, through an agency. I work for the agency and they supply me to whatever company needs worker..perhaps this is a similar type of setup.
Let me know anyway, if you dont minf

    i also worked through guru
they provide the client with your contact information so it's up to them to contact you
and you don't have to pay guru
that is why guru is so cool i guess
other work sites ask monthly payments or 15%
    the bastards
