    My Images Wobble Please Help!¿?

I have a background image for my .fla imported from photoshop.
I have another image that looks just like it only has added effects...
I am trying to fade the second image in over the first one with motion tween and alpha %s...
the problem is that every time I do it, in a MC on on the main time line, as a graphic or any other way I can think of, the image ALWAYS wiggles just a little. like moving off the pixel and then moving back.
It's just enough to make it look bad.

I need to know how to fix this.

I had the same problem awhile back on another project where when I put a MC into the time line, and it moved... the background would warp out. I gave up trying to fix it... and just redesigned that area all together.

However this site I HAVE to do it the way I am trying, to get the site to do what I want.

Has anyone had this problem before? and how did you fix it?

(Using Flash 5, IE 6, XP)

Check the images exact pixel locations on all keyframes. I would guess that you'll find one that is slightly off.

When you use alpha with pics. you should never let the alpha go to more than 99%, never 100%.
Its a well known problem in flash, and you can read more about it on macormedias homepage.

    I think thats it ;o)

nope... checked it. that doesn't fix it either.

The whole image looks to be "breathing" it expands in size one pixel in all directions around the outer edge, then goes back... this all takes place during the motion tween.

    I'm still at a loss.

    thanks for your help though.

Thanks for the link... the 99% and 1% didn't work for me.
    I'm going to try this:

    Macromedia
In some cases, turning off "Allow Smoothing" in the Library's Bitmap Properties dialog box will eliminate the issue.
    thanks again for your help.

You could also try converting a rectangle to a symbols. Set teh alpha to 0, then lay it over top of the affected images.

    Thanks to you all...

I got the problem fixed with combining all three things:
    1. 1% - 99% max tween
    2. turning off allow smooth on my images before converting them to symbols
    3. adding the invisable image over it all at 1% alpha.

    thanks again!
