hi, i'm looking for a way to make a button stop on the second frame(mouseOver-state).
i used button.enabled = false first, and now i'm wondering if it is possible to make the button go to a certain frame number like you can in the properties inspector.

    any ideas ?

that is not possible.. there is nothing like that in Flash.. I mean concerning buttons.
What you can do is that you make a mc with two frames (one for the on and other for the "off".. in this way you'll be simulating what you can get with a button.

    that's all.

no, not really, i'd like the button to go to frame numer 2 (mouseover state) and stay there as i normally would in the properties inspector. i just wanted to dynamically change this with AS.

but as i see, it's not possible

    thanks all

I m'self prefer to just make empty generic "hit only" buttons shaped like a circle and square, and place them over the graphics I want and scale to fit.

ya.. I also think that's the best way. In such case we can reduce file size too.
