I currently have an open req for a part time contractor with potential for full-time employment by client.
The ideal candidate will live in SF or the San Francisco Bay Area and have the following skills:
Motion/Graphic Design 2+ years (agency exp pref'd)
Flash 5/MX ActionScripting (OOP, custom Flash Object exp req'd)
PHP 2+ years with class design and object modeling exp req'd
RDBMS 1+ years
XML 1+ years
Linux/Unix 1+ years (exp with Debian helpful)
Good to have:
VB/VBscript
Video/Flash MX Integration exp
Network Socket programming experience
XML Socket Object experience
Experience with Distributed Networks
Thin Client/Kiosk Development
Embedded OS development
Network protocols
Must have:
Awesome Design/Flash Portfolio
ActionScript examples demonstrating the aforementioned skills
PHP examples demonstrating the above skills.
This position is for a 2-3 month project with potential for a full-time hire by the client. Fulltime hires will work under myself until project completion and be componsated by client directly, part-time contractor arrangement will report to me and be componsated by myself.

I'm not "against" degrees, but to me, demonstrated skills superceed any degree.
Also, this position has been filled with a fulltime hire.
