I've decided to stop making examples and make a complete game, I already have the story board, characters, some sprites made and animations already done, I am interested in making this game impossible to hack into and was wondering if anyone has found a way to make a game impossible to hack into!
Anyone have any ideas please let me know!

Yes there is a way who gives a F*** if anyone steals it you make sure you finish it then copyright it by..
Macromedia
NG(Newgrounds)
FK(flashkit)
Or anyone who is very popular and will not steal it...Then
You wont have to worryu about people stealing them all you have to do is say you made it then tada

What about something like this:
I think I may have thought of a way people!!!
Ok use the:
loadVariablesNum("secure.php", _root);
to load the variable into you flash movie.
Now make a php script - make the first line:
//this will kill the php script so you can't see the rest of it online.
<?php die ?>
//you then place your actionscript code below taht line.
code = your code goes here
In effect the script will be held in _root.code
I have not yet tried this but I guess i'll check it out and see if it works later!

Even if you tried to make the php file close when some one tried to view it, they would end up downloading it and editing it that way.

If they were to download it, wouldn't it be an empty page though since the php is parsed at the server side!

I'm sorry, but that just shouldn't be tolarated. I believe he didn't meen it in a sarcastic way, but it came out like that. He has a very valid point, and it is probably the best way to protect your work legally.
Never say shutup.
Ever.
<mods> If this is considered a flame, sorry. </mods>
I removed my post but believe me, i've had much worse off this guy!

I don't want to make this available on Flashkit, Newgrounds etc because I will be using it as a profit making game. This is not going to be a semi decent game, you will all want to play it so making the source a secret has a purpose. Copyright never stopped anyone from re-distributing software illegally and I would like constructive methods of preventing people from stealing sources from swf's!
Thank you

How could you do that when the server parses it?

Slackware 9.0
You still need the .php file on your server.

ok I've made a file here:

After the <?php die ?> comment I have some text, I would like you to tell me what it says!

Runes Tooth - I watched your "All your base are belong to us" thing about a month or so ago, it had me in stitches - Very good!

I didn't say I could do it. I just meant that it was probably possible to download it off your server.
You could easily just get the source a web browser and delete all its file recognition. Kind of like the way Internet Explorer recognisis jpegs. You can rename a jpeg to .txt but IE will still show it as a picture. But if you were to change the extension to something like .yyy then IE would either try to download the file or just display it like a text file.

I'd like to take the credit for it, but I didn't make it! It's fairly old but I still like it. www.allyourbase.tv

The thing is, if the user views it, then it's downloaded to their cache where it is easy for them to pick out.
The user can get your swf, otherwise they couldn't play the game. If they get the swf, they can get your AS. If they can get your AS, they can hack the system by mimicing the flash client.
