Thread: cache????

  1. #1
I publish my site, i check it out, and I change some things.
Publish it again, but don't see the changes!

What's wrong? is it in my cache memory? Does visitors have the same when visit my site? What can I do about it?

    Yes it's being cached.

If your flash file is fairly large and doesn't update very often then I'd just rename the swf and change the reference in the <object></object> tags in the html. Obviously you have to ftp the html file too. This is how I do it.

If your flash file is small then you can always reload it. Here's catbert303's suggestion:

In the above I'm referring to the <*object></object> tags. I had to repost.

When this happens to me I press Ctrl + N (IE) to open a new browser window and the changes show up then.
