Flash to avi problem

hi all.

I am try to export my flash movie to an avi, but when i do it the avi only plays the first picture of my movie.

How do i export the whole movie, all layers and eveything to avi.?

OK, do you have everything inside mc`s ??? if you do then that`s it . . take them aot and use the layers with everything out . .

Sorry to sound reall dumb, but im new to flash and dont know what you mean by "mc's".

I downloaded a flash movie of a bird dancing and need to get it to vcd, as soon as i get it to avi, i will be able to do it ,, please help as i really need this done.. thanx

Ok.. . Mc: Movie clip, now do you know wht`s a movie clip in flash?? you can start here: http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl..._movies02.html
Now if you do have everything inside a movie clip what you need to do is take everything out and place it in the main timeline.

what the best codec to use for best quality.

OK, m8e??? what`s that??
Anyways. . i would reccomend if you can to use a divx codec, best quality-less file size.

There is a special program for converting flash files to video. Its "Flash to Video Encoder". You even dont need Macromedia Flash to be installed to convert... And I suppose thet it makes the most qualitative videos of all other programs...
