It doesn't always work especially with free web baised email such as yahoo.

    Second
It means you have to upload the swf onto a server that will allow direct access to non html files.
Meaning it won't work on 99% of free web hosts.

    Here's the method.
upload your swf to your server.
open swish copy html to clipboard.
    Open Outlook express
    When you send an email
    send it rich text (html)

    Go to the souce tab
right click and paste the code

Now where is says the file name replace that with the full url path
    http://myserver.com/folder/my.swf

It will only work in Outlook Express 5+ and Netscape 6+ and even then, only if the recipient has security settings at medium (internet zone) and ActiveX controls enabled.

If you have either of the above, you can see how I achieve it by sending a mailto:expo@quicktell.net. If you don't have either of the above the mail sequence carries an optional link to launch the movie as a pop-up.

You do NOT have to stream your SWF from a web server to embed it into an email! Before Flash 6 it was possible to embed SWFs directly into Outlook Express emails using the EMBED tag and utilizing the "path to file". There was an initial problem with the release of the Flash Player 6, but this problem was resolved. I recommend you visit the home page of a very useful utility called EMBED FLASH:

    http://home.chello.no/~cato.salid/embedflash/index.htm

Download the full setup, and visit the tutorial page. This is a free utility, and is the only known way to embed SWFs into OE emails at this time, no matter if the recipient has Flash 5 or 6 installed, they can view it.
