I've seen a program that captures screen activity to a .mov file (maybe at http://www.judyandrobert.com/quicktime/ ) The little Quicktime Page.
Maybe you could capture an .mov then use Squeeze. Let me know what you find.

ive used it before to record video from game demos and to record tutorial screens for friend of mine who need to know how to work something.
its very powerful, records your mouse movement, and a bunch of stuff
