    lol, I didn't realise it was that old! There was a recent link to it in the FK Games forum (which I normally frequent) and yeh, I just got a bit excited from all the cool freeware listed that I thought i'd post something.

    A version 2 of the thread would be good though. You can never get enough freeware, especially when a lot of it is just as good, if not better, that pay2use apps.

    sorry for bringing this up,

    i was looking for a free program that i can use to compose some background music to be used in Flash. Does anyone know? (it posted in sound forum but no response).

    also, is asking for a free DVD converter to other formats ... er...allowed here?

    As long as your using it for legal purposes. I recently did a website for a company that does aerial filming and gave me their footage on DVD. I used Nero Vision Express to convert it and then VirtualDub to crop it.

    yeah im having the same problem as jasonplace with the DVD. I searched and found some, but somehow couldnt get them working properly.

    ill look Nero and audacity up

    i looked up audacity, but it's more like editing music. Im sorta looking for a program that i actually make music up, like actually create and set the beats and add some other sound fx to it myself(i dont wanna worry about copyrights and stuffs). Nothing spectacular because it's only for background music.

    I actually dont know if there is such a program for free, so any help appriciated.

    rebirth... seriously dude. when it comes down to "music creation"... it all matters on what you have access to.

    I have a ton of samples and drum kits I've gathered over the years.
