can anyone tell me if they've had problems loggin' on to the chat server. everytime i try to log on/connect it says something like 'connection failure' or could 'not connect thru flashkit.com'. i was wondering if anyone else was having the same problems. i'm on ie 5/mac.

    Red face Here to help

Thanks for the note guys. I can't seem to replicate the problem from this end.

Could someone tell me the entire message that you receive.

Does the applet load? Or is the problem when you hit connect?

    Servers

Try using the Server that is closest to you, this should let you get onto the channels!

Mac, havent tested on a mac I am afraid.
PC should work, and use one of the US ones, a .net or .com

I can't visit the chat either. Using the Java Applet and mIRC. I don't recall the exact message but it says something to the effect of 'host identified, connection refused'.

I have no problem with dalnet, undernet, webmaster, etc.

It seems that my entire ISP is banned from efnet. I guess they call it K-Lined. I am thinking of emailing my ISP because my attempts to contact efnet have failed.

If you can't get into flashkit's chat no matter what, you can join #flash on other servers like the three I mentioned above. I operate the one on webmaster btw

    You'll probably need mIRC @ http://www.mirc.com

Did you try with different servers? I think that they only allow you to use IRC servers from the country you are in.

    yay!

ok. I've never been on an efnet server because it always gave me this message: Closing Link: an ip # (You are not authorized to use this server) or "no more connections are allowed in you class and it'll show my dial in alias.

I got on mirc and tried all the us servers. Here are the ones that worked!! yippy!

    irc.lightning.net New York, NY
    irc.mcs.net Chicago, IL
    irc.prison.net San Louis, CA
    irc-w.primenet.com Phoenix, AZ

maybe if you have probs they will work 4 u too.

    cya!
