    Newbie question...

Say I have a page with Flash on it, if a user goes to my page and they do not have the plugin, what happens? Do they see anything (red x, blank space)? Are they prompted for a download? I know you can write code to prompt for download, but saying I don't right now what will happen? Thanks in advance.

If you are sending them to just a swf on the server, then they won't get prompted and they won't see it. If the swf is embedded in an html page, the prompt is built into the object tags needed to run the movie.

Am I able to just take that out and have it display nothing?

    Try it.

I've never bothered because they say 96% of those who surf have the flashplayer. Who cares about the other 4%. LOL
