Well I just thought it might be fun. Im wondering if this is possible...if we could get some stock footage of like a ten second clip, and then apply some AE effects back and forth, just like a Photoshop battle, you have to use an element from the previous volley.
Is this a dumb idea? My PS skills aren't that great, but maybe I could compete with AE. I know a lot of people don't have AE either. Another thing is that after about 20 volleys there might be generation loss in the QT files.
You'll need AE, a solid video encoder like Sorenson or Media Cleaner, and QT Pro. If anyone has these tools and would like to compete lemme know.
cool. Im glad there is at least some interest.
Well file size could be a problem unless you had a high quality encoder. I can compress a three minute clip with a bunch of AE effects at around 5mb. So ten seconds should definitly be less than a meg...around 300-700k. I could always host the clips on my server.
I don't know it might be too much to ask, but if anyone has all the software and wants to try it out Im game.
