I want to build a Cost-of-Living Calculator for my company. We're located in Salt Lake City, and I want people to be able to enter in some figures like annual income and any city in the US and then compare that figure to the equivalent amount in Salt Lake.
Do you think Flash is the tool for this? If so, how?
You can easily use Flash to create a "calculator" such as this. It's a matter of using variables in Actionscript. Here's an example of an Amoritization calculator I did a while back if you want to see something similar in action. I believe there are examples here on this site as well.
