    preloading multiple loaded movies

    morning

    here is my situation:

    within main.swf i have the navigation to move sequentially through several external .swf files.

    here is a bit of a flow diagram:

    main.swf loads.

    loadMovie("1.swf", "_level1");

    when 1.swf has loaded, load 2.swf

    ...and so on

    if, whilst this loading is going on, the user navigates to a file that has not yet loaded, a preloader will pop up.

    problems i'm having is communicating between main.swf and the loaded .swf whether or not it has been fully loaded so it can load the next one.

    using _level1.getBytesLoaded() for percentage progress preloader.

    cheers in advance!

    Load the .swf files into target movieclips rather than levels then you can reference the movieclips directly to get the bytes loaded.
