    it doesnt work.

would it be easier to post the script here.

    like.

On the button put this action.

    onclip event blah
    _blah.Root.Blah + blah*blah

    And on the mc

    Blah += blah- blahing math.sqrt

the explanation of the code is in the other thread. i suggest you read through it. okay, i just figured out how to save the file as a Flash 5 doc. you're in luck. here it is:

    http://filebox.vt.edu/users/jizietz/...deInOut_F5.fla

i did make a change to my original fla - the clip on the left has a border, the clip on the right does not. the clip on the right has reusable code - just change the picture to whatever you want and it'll work.

    good luck.

easy. in flash mx, you have the option of choosing "Flash 5 .fla" in the file format drop-down box.

let me know if you have any questions about the fla.

    Hi

That could be why your having problems with the .fla I use MX.

I checked Yeah yeahs button. It is a bit like button 1 in my .swf
It doesn't finish its animation before changing up/over states.

    I'm happy I think the button (3) looks/works great.

I'll try to get the .fla to download???

Anyone else having problems, or even success??

i didn't design it to finish its animation - i was just using it as an example. is there a reason to have a button finish the animation?

    Hi

Your button is fine, the start of this thread was by Nionicle who asked ...

I hate when you rollover a button then roll off really fast and make the button go to the rolloff frame before it has finished the rollover frame.
Sure theres a point its smoother (doesn't flicker)(it was fun as well), if you check out the link I attached, and you rollover the three buttons, the third button is the one that finishes the up/over mc before starting the next mc.

    Hi Nionicle,

I hope you can download this, whether you can use it I don't know, it was a little more complicated than expected. Perhaps if you pull it to bits you will see how it works???
