    3ds MAX

    Anyone know how to get the cool effects CarbonFour does in some of his wallpapers?

    I just can't get it!

    Exactly what effects are you looking at, and on what walls?
    To me it looks like the majority of them are done in photoshop - with only a base 3d render. I don't see too much 3dmax there

    Ahh, did you check the tutorials on his site also? Just as I suspected most of his stuff is done in photoshop. Also, if you want - hes on www.somethingleet.com fourms frequently.

    no, I dont think this is ALL photoshop.
    Obviously type is all photoshop, but the green stuff, thats max or another 3d program render.

    Basically tou start with an object such as a teapot and play around with the seed and noise settings until you get the desired effect. You might then go on and add play with mesh smooth, and perhaps play around with the surface materials. There are tons of tutorials, a good one is at wasted youth. The majority of work has to be done in ps though.
