im trying to figure out a way to have selectable text in a flash movie. so that people can cut out an ip address and paste it into winamp. any thoughts ? thanks!

You should be able to do this by just making the text in the movie a "text field" instead of plain text. To do this just use the text tool and when the atributies for the text appears on the left you will see a button that looks like abc select that and you make it a text field. Then you can change the atributes by right clicking in the text field or if on a mac control click. Regards, Bill
