I have a Master's degree in Aménagement (M.Sc.A.) In English, there are no words to translate it except Design. I also hold a bachelor's degree in industrial design.

It is true that aesthetics has gone "mainstream" since the age of the computer. However, I know for a fact that my traning has proved useful in all of my endeavours.

    Vive le design !

I have no formal training, I just picked it up as I went along.

Frank Lloyd Wright never officially was an architect, he never had any sort of degree or accredation

Didn't the guy who makes www.yugop.com use to be an architect?
At the University of Waterloo, architecture students don't touch architectural design until 2nd or 3rd year. Until then, they do drawing and theory classes.

yeah, i've seen plenty of aiga print designers who have had a real hard time building something that we as flashers would consider slick, engaging, or original, but then you look at their portfolios and their logos, illustration, brochures, annual reports, whatever...are real impressive...
