    Need help building flash web site!!!

    Hi everybody. I need little help building flash web site. I did rollout buttons. And each rollout menue is a movie clip symbol. I arranged them nicely on Scene1, and they all in one layer. I go to the movie clip of button, and when I'm trying to add some action script to certain button (goto and play frame 2 scene1) it does not work. i try to send to second frame where different page is, and nothing happends.
    Any one help??!!! please.

    You have to target the right timeline. If your button is inside a MC and you want to goto a frame in the main timeline, it will look something like this.

    on(release){
    _root.gotoAndPlay("Scene1",1);
    }

    But rather than to use framenumbers you can use framelabels instead. Name the frame you want to go to, for instance, about. Then you dont need to name the scene.

    on(release){
    _root.gotoAndPlay("about");
    }

    Hello,
    the better way to target a scene or keyframe is to use lables.

    Go to the keyframe you are trying to get to and click on it once in the timeline to select it.

    Open the options tab. On the right side of the options tab there is a box that says frame. This is where you add the label.

    Label it what you would like.

    On your button:(not on the keyframe or inside the button)
    Code:
    on(release){
    _root.gotoAndPlay ("myLabel");
    }
    If you had a movie clip on the main timeline with an instance name of myMovie, and inside that you had label called myLabel, you could get there from your button with this code:

    Code:
    on(release){
    _root.myMovie.gotoAndPlay("myLabel");
    }
    Glad to be of help..
