can someone help please - i am designing a site for a company that uses pegasus email on their system. when i use a simple mailto: tag, anyone within the company wishing to use the email link gets a message saying that their computer does not have outlook as their email program.
how do i get around this without using cgi?
thanks

If there using IE you wanna check the programs tab in the
internet options.
If they left it but default it will be outlook.
check and see if there default mail app is in the selection.
Tell me if this works.

default email
listed in their email programs - hotmail, outlook express and microsoft outlook. outlook express was their default.
how do you get pegasus to be in this list?

it should have been there already.
if the program is reged as e-mail app in the registry
it will put it automaticly.
To force the app,. that i don't know.
but what you can do is replace the outlook.exe file with your e-mail app.
so when it lauches outlook you e-mail app will open.
try! fool around and you'll get it.
thats how i get around my probs!
