    Movie Size Issues

    I have a movie that I need to perform some actionscript, but I do not want it visible on the screen. Right now it is embedded in an html page that has the movie set to width=800 height = 600....since I dont want it visible I changed the size to width=1 height=1 but now my movie does not run anymore. Is there a minimum size requirement a movie must be in order to play???? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Why don't you change the alpha instead?

    You can change the alpha of an entire movie???? Can't I just change the size?

    Well, not exactly. What I would do is start with a new movie fla. make it the size you want, but it should hold the other movie. Then simply use a onClipEvent (load) to load your other movie's swf into it at 2x2 pixels.

    Try this, I got it to work with a simple mc.

    On the first frame:

    onClipEvent (load) {
    loadMovieNum ("firstmovie.swf", 0);
    this._yscale = 2;
    this._xscale = 2;
    }

    Go to frame 30 and add:

    onClipEvent(enterFrame) {
    if (this._yscale < 400) {
    this._yscale += 5;
    }
    if (this._xscale < 400) {
    this._xscale += 5;
    }
    }

    Might have to play with that awhile, but what else you doing this weekend?

    I'll attach the basic fla, maybe you can do something similar with the movie.
