    Recognize a movie clip already played

    Hello. I need a good solution to a movie that plays a movie clip once, and then after it has played it never plays again.

    The stop();

    feature will not work here because my movie is going back to a separate page, and then starting the movie over again. Adding stop to the end is useless and adding it to the front will not play the movie.

    Thank you in advance,
    Christian

    What you could do is, using a little PHP, store a variable in a text file. At the end of your movie, you could set it to false, and at the beginning, have it check for it. If it's false, have it stop, and if it's true, have it play. I hope this makes sense. I don't know HOW to do this, just how to go ABOUT doing it. It woud make more sense to post this in the scripting and backend section, now that you know exactly what you want to do.

    Does anyone else have any suggestions?

    Maybe there's another way to do it without PHP or ASP or anything like that. You should post a thread on changing text files *without* PHP/ASP, etc.
    Code:
      hobby = webDesign; waitYears(3);
      job = webDesign; this.love(job);
