    Is Your System Safe?

Test your system, see if your computer is safe or if your firewall (you better have one) is configured properly

Conclusion: Healthy Setup! We could detect nothing interesting on any of the default ports on your IP address. Your computer appears to be a hard target. Well done!
said everything was filtered etc - although if someone sits in my front lawn with a wireless card im done

I also run a web server, FTP, etc... but still, all ports came back as filtered.

Conclusion: Possible Problem! We did get information from scanning your ports, this information could encourage attackers to probe further. Do you know why you are advertising these services to the net? perhaps installation of a firewall, or reconfiguration of your firewall to be more secure, would provide peace of mind. oops!

winxp (pro) is very very safe, home edition is like windows me.

if you wanna secure your xp connection just set it in the advanced tab of the connection settings.

routers are nice, but little $150 ones aren't secure enough, i mean those ones aren't really routers since they only have 1 or two langauge translateros for tcp/ip , tose routers are just smart hubs.

i'm rambling... i have a commercial firewall, and xp firewall and i run iis of my computer with ftp, mysql for a php board and a web server. (i would have appache but unix is crap for intergration with windows based applications)

only thing they found was the port i run my servers on, but its an obsure port and i doubt anyone would guess it. the rest was locked down tight.

But a friend of mine who did got a really good shock that someone could access him through typical exploited ports... dumbass he used to netstat just to see what was going on and had like 30 ports either connected or listening, no wonder he got subsevens.

I already answered earlier in the thread.

but to reiterate, no exploits available.

having a linux firewall between my mac's and other linux boxes in my house = secure enough for those simple tests...

dude, go help your friend out mang!

hehehe, i did, he's in a mad panic now with like 3 firewalls, prompts on every java/active-x activity, prompt on every internet accessing system like ie and got rid of all his messengers..

he went over board and now locks his bedroom door and closes his blinds before he uses his computer... the guy won't even use a screen saver cause the trojans are doing stuff under neath.

Next he'll only use dos and have mmc event viewer up all the time or any processes!!!

hahahha, i think everyone does that after a hack though
