http ?
I just bought flash comm. and I have read another thread that talked about getting it to work on a http server. This is something that I would like to do, so that I don't have to have my puter on all the time. Is there a tutorial on how to do this somewhere?? I went though the firstapp and it worked fine on my local machine, but couldn't get it to work when I uploaded it to a http server. I don't know how to install flash comm. on the http server. I have tried looking through the help files and didn't find it.
Just wondering if someone could help me out. Thanks in advance, apperciate it

http.. no go
The flash server can only run, for the time being, on a windows server.(soon they will have it for linux) With this in mind you would need to actually install the flash comm server on the windows box from the windows console.
Once installed it runs independent of the http server. The flash comm server only accepts rtmp connections and not http or https connections. In a production environment the client side flash files would sit on the http server but would connect to the flash comm server directly.
So to answer your question... you cannot 'intall' the flash comm server 'onto' an http server. You can install it on the same box provided it is a windows box, but it would run independent of the http server.
Hope this helps.
